CSKA defeats Zenit to enter WINLINE Basket Cup Final

CSKA defeated Zenit in WINLINE Basket Cup Semifinal – 88:74 (24:20, 21:28, 21:14, 22:12).

Game progress
In the second semifinal of the WINLINE Basket Cup, CSKA and Zenit faced off. The St. Petersburg team started with a 7-2 run, but the Moscow team tied the score and had even pulled ahead by 4 points by the end of the first quarter. The intense battle continued in the second quarter – Andrei Martiuk and Andrey Vorontsevich put Zenit in the lead near halftime (48:45).

Key moment
After the start of second half, Melo Trimble stepped up. The guard restored the Moscow team lead and momentum. Zenit tried to keep pace, but Ivan Ukhov three-pointers and another Trimble performance in the decisive quarter put the game to an end.
