Igokea kicks off the season with a game against BETCITY PARMA

On Wednesday, as part of the group stage of the WINLINE Basket Cup international tournament, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s “Igokea” will face Russia’s “PARMA” at home.

Igokea (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – PARMA (Russia)

Time: 7:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. Moscow time)
Location: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laktaši, “Laktaši Sports Hall”
Broadcast: Kinopoisk

Igokea: For the reigning champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this will be their first game of the new WINLINE Basket Cup season. Last year’s cup campaign ended in disappointment for the team from Laktaši—they finished the group stage with a 0-6 record. Now, Nenad Stefanović’s players are determined to redeem themselves in front of their fans and secure their long-awaited first victory in the tournament’s history. However, the Bosnians are having to ease into the Cup against the backdrop of a challenging schedule. At the start of the Adriatic League, Igokea has alternated between home wins and road losses (a victory over Slovakia’s Inter, and defeats against Borac and Cedevita-Olimpia). In the FIBA Champions League, things are even tougher—the team began the regular season with two stinging consecutive losses, falling first to Spain’s Bilbao (79–92) and then to Germany’s Alba Berlin (79–90). The cup match against PARMA is a chance to delight the fans and get back on the winning track.

PARMA: The Perm club, led by Evgeny Pashutin, made a sensational entrance into the second season of the WINLINE Basket Cup, confidently defeating the reigning VTB United League champion and Cup winner—Moscow’s CSKA—in its opening game. The Perm team hasn’t shown much consistency yet, but it’s demonstrating potential and has established itself among the league’s top contenders, racking up three wins in five games, including a recent major victory over Dynamo (108–90). Perm’s leader, B.J. Johnson, is in superb form, regularly racking up double-doubles, and the seamless integration of skilled rookies allows the Ural team to maintain a high scoring output. PARMA heads into the away game in Laktashi as the favorite, aiming to solidify its lead in the group.
