Vule Avdalovic: «I would like to thank Moscow and CSKA for how they welcomed us»

Mega head coach Vule Avdalovic praised the organization of the WINLINE Basket Cup game against CSKA and summed up the result.

«First of all, I would like to thank Moscow and CSKA for how they welcomed us: for the organization, the flight, the atmosphere, and the fans, who were so great during today’s game. I hope we meet here again.

Before the game, we talked about how good CSKA is. I believe we showed respect for the club and the organization: we played well, because if we had played poorly, we wouldn’t have been able to win. I want to congratulate the players and the entire coaching staff. We only have one player who is 24 years old; the rest are 19-20. This is a tremendous experience, and this team has a very bright future».

Mega guard Savo Drezgic named the key factor in the win over CSKA.

«Congratulations on a good game, we did a great job, especially in defense: we played tough, just as we wanted to. That was the key to win. We ran well, scored easy and quick points, and played without fear. Plus, we did a good job in defense at the end of the game.».

CSKA guard Ivan Ukhov shared his impressions of the team’s start in the WINLINE Basket Cup.

«Today was a dynamic game against a young and aggressive team. At the beginning, we didn’t let them feel the offense that we could have given this team. They were able to play smart transitions and we weren’t able to stop. After that, our opponents felt confident in their abilities. We could have played more aggressively. We will watch the game and analyze our mistakes».
