Modern artist Misha Libertee will design and create the main trophy for the new WINLINE Basket Cup, a joint project between the VTB United League and WINLINE.
The cup will be a unique work of art, designed as a sculpture with elements of three-dimensional stained glass. The piece will be handmade and one of a kind, symbolizing light, energy, and the pursuit of excellence, uniting sports and modern culture.

«I am close to the idea of turning a sports item into a work of art. This cup is not just an award, it is an image of upward movement, a concentration of light and emotions».
Liberty is known for his large-scale projects at the intersection of art and technology, from the giant #Slonik sculpture at the Burning Man festival to digital and stained glass series exhibited in galleries around the World. Now, for the first time, his language of light and form will enter the sporting context.
The process of creating the trophy will form the basis of the documentary mini-series Crafted for Glory, where viewers will see the journey from conception to the moment when the winner of the tournament lifts the cup for the first time.
The WINLINE Basket Cup is a new tournament of the VTB United League, featuring six of Russia’s strongest clubs, as well as teams from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project combines basketball, style, and art, forming a new visual and emotional culture of the game.
